robchronphotography > While traveling up and down Michigan following my father who was racing in a 500 mile bike race called the Del Mac, we stopped at our cottage in Bay View, which is near Petoskey. I had never been there during the fall so it was an interesting experience to see everything beginning to shut down for the winter. As we were driving past the park to go the Bistro in town, The storm began to break right over the Petoskey Pier, which you can see silhouetted in the picture. I jumped out the car and began shooting.
robchronphotography > My neighbor, a little boy that my father dubbed George (even though his real name is Trevor), has a little cousin that used to come and visit annually every summer. My brother and George would pretty much live together all summer long. As a result we got to spend time with Skylar, his cousin. This picture was taken the day that she was leaving. All of the neighbor kids were hanging out around the tree with the tire swing. Skylar was being pushed. Such a cute kid.
robchronphotography > Every year I volunteer to do portraits of the 30+ Drama Club kids. I come to their rehersels and photograph each child individually. I then print 5x7's of each of the picture and mount them on poster board along with basic information about each kid. They hang outside the middle school cafe for remainder of every year. You can this photo and others here: http://robchronphotography.smugmug.com/Drama%20Club
robchronphotography > This was taken on the left side of the Jefferson Monument of the Washington Monument. Beautiful Night. . We went during the cherry blossom festival and during our night time tour, i used my Jobypod (great little thing) and took some spectacular night shots of the DC monuments. robchronphotography > This was taken on the edge of the Pond behind our house. The little tiny seeds that you can see is Duckweed. Duckweed can taken over entire ponds. It gives them the appearance of being solid ground. Watch out you could find that out the hard way.
robchronphotography > I had a fantastic 5th grade teacher. She was so dedicated. Everyday she stayed at the school till like 11 working on all kinds of stuff. She had a knack for great field trips. One of the best trips of the year is the schooner trip. We go up to Little Traverse bay and spend the day on the biggest schooner in Michigan. The man who owns it is 28 and very successful. This is one of pulleys on the boat.
robchronphotography > Every summer I set up a booth at our local farmers market to sell my pictures. I get to meet some very interesting people and get some great opportunities. This woman is an accountant in Rochester and wanted me to photograph her and her dog. Later that day we met at the commons behind our library and did a photo shoot. Although this isn't the picture she bought, this is by far my favorite.
robchronphotography > This picture along with three others were taken as a Christmas present for my friends mother. She had the violin and I had the skills and camera. So we sat in a dark room with a flashlight for several hours until we got something worth it.
robchronphotography > Our backyard is just teeming with wildlife. This is baby dove after being disturbed from its nest by a goofy kid.
